WEIRD

I am knocking at your door, waiting patiently; my only desire, is to seek your face. Take me! Take me into your hands! Mold me, mold me to be your desire! Hold me! Hold me when I am hurting, hold me when I am crying, hear my call unto you my Lord!

I only seek your face! Unworthy of your Gace, I call on you, all things you can do. I call on you to be my strength, I call on you to be my love, I call on you to be my power! I call on you!

I am knocking at your door, waiting patiently, for the gates of your heavenly kingdom to pour out your love! I am knocking at your door, waiting patienly, for you to open my mind my heart my soul! Waiting for you! Waiting for you to open my eyes, open my ears, open everything I need to recieve you; I am kocking, I am waiting, I am praising, I worship you…I am knocking I am waiting, I am praising You, my Lord!

I am knocking at your door. I seek you. I seek you. Oh I seek you

MANY WONDERS

When asked, many people think of the seven wonders of the world as being THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA, TAGJ MAHAL, AND PLACES LIKE THAT. My thoughts and beliefs on the seven wonders are these: TO HEAR; TO SEE; TO TOUCH; TO FEEL; TO LAUGH; TO CRY; TO LOVE; TO HAVE JOY; TO HAVE SALVATION; TO HAVE TRUE FRIENDS; OUR CHILDREN; OUR PARENTS; OUR GRANDPARENTS; OUR SIBLINGS, OUR SPOUSES; TO KNOW THAT WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT THAT THE PERSON YOU ARE WITH RIGHT NOW, WHEATHER IT BE SPOUSE OR SIGNIFICANT OTHER, LOVES YOU AND HAS YOUR BACK NO MATTER WHAT; TO HOLD HANDS; TO FEEL SAFE, TO FEEL LOVED. As one can see, there are many more wonders in this world that are above all greater than the Great Wall of China, or any other place like that. But the greatest wonder of all is this: JESUS CHRIST. Nothing will ever compare to having Jesus in your life, in your heart. No greater joy, no greater love, no greater peace can be achieved by anything else. If you have Jesus, you have it all. If you have Jesus, you are the richest, happiest person on the face of this earth. Sometimes it may not feel like it, but if you look around, you can see people suffering in vain, with no hope of success in life, and no spiritual achievement. We that do have Jesus, even though we suffer, it is for the greater good. It is to train you. It is to prepare you. You have to be in excelent condition in order to walk through the gates of Heaven, to stand before God, and to have him say “WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, ENTER NOW FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN AND IT’S TREASUERS ARE YOURS.” That is my goal for my future, and for my child’s future. To know that when I leave this earth, and pass on, that I will pass on to a greater life..to an eternal life where there is no sickness, no suffering, no tears, but there is love, peace, and joy unspeakable. People do not realize how good they have it, until they lose it. People do not understand the many great sufferings that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has gone through to pay the price for all of our sins and to get us to that big and wonderful Kingdom in the Sky. People do not realize that our freedom, wheather it be spiritual, or it be the freedom within our country had to come with a price. Jesus died for our spiritual freedom; our soldiers died for our freedom in this country. If we take advantage of it, and be ungrateful, and take it all for granted…we will lose it, and we will lose the meaning of what it is to be free. Free from torment, free from eternal suffering, free from saddness, free from opression. We all need to take a moment and really think about what was sacrificed for us.

HELP ON THE BEACH

A small boy and an older man were coming toward each other both very slowly. The old man was limping bitterly and the little boy was bending over inspecting each and every wonder of the beach. Soon the small boy came upon a sea of beached starfish. The boy felt sad for these beautiful creatures and started picking them up and throwing them back into the ocean as many at one time able to be picked up at one time. He was trying oh so frantically to save thier lives, with no doubt or any inclination of saving all of the beautiful starfish. The older man approached the small boy saying “Are you crazy? You cant possibly save them all, it wont make a bit of difference!” The boy looked up at the old man and down at the starfish he held in his hands and tossed it out into the sea. The boy replied “I saved that one’s life, I made a difference in his life. all these starfish will die if I dont at least try. But with me trying even the smallest fraction that I throw in, it is that small number that counts as making the difference”.

The moral of this story is no matter how bad it looks, no matter how many “starfish” are out there, just one act of kindness, one caring heart, one loving touch trying and doing our best, is what makes the difference. If we look a little more at our accomplishments instead of our failures, we will all have more successes, more positive strength, more selfconfidence. There is a difference between having self-confidence and an act of boasting with arrogance. The one that says “yes, I did a good job, but it could have been better.”has the self confidence. Those willing to actively learn constantly and improve their lives have the self-confidence.

The person that says “I AM the best, I am the smartest, No one else is as smart as I am, no one else isnt as good as I am” is the boaster, and truth be known of it, this kind of person is so unsecure in his or her life, and unsatisfied, having the inability to quench their thirst of being perfect.

No one is better, no one is smarter, no one is more good-looking than the acts of love and kindness to God, our Father. In His eyes, all of his children are equally beautiful, with different aspects and details taloring to each person. God doesnt play favorites, he lets us make the choices, and he holds strong to those who know him through Jesus Christ, our savior. Yes, he does rejoice with his children who are saved already, and rejoices more when he is able to keep that person a x number of years. He also rejoices when the shephard finds a lost sheep for the first time to bring him back to the crowd.

ATTITUDE

A 92 year old woman lost her husband of 62 years. She knew she had to move into a nursing home, and so while legally blind, her hair was beautifully coifed, and her makeup perfectly applied. She picked up her bag, stepped into the taxi, and headed to the nursing home. She sat and waited paitently as the nurse got her room ready. The nurse finnally came to take her to her room and was explaining the details down to the eyelit curtains on the windows, and the rocking chair positioned caticornered at the foot of the bed. “I absolutely love it” the elderly lady exclaimed as though she were a child presented with a new puppy. The nurse said “But Mrs. Conely, you havent seen it yet!” The little old woman stopped and said “Dear, it doesnt matter how the furniture is arranged in the room, but how I am arranged in my mind. I have two choices each morning: I can either lay in bed and complain about hte parts that no longer work, or I can get up, do my morning routine, and thank God for the ones that do. Your memory is like a bank. what ever you deposit is what you will gain. I have been filling my memory bank with happy memories, and I am still depositing. Thank you for your deposite into my memory bank.

I Wasn’t So I Will

No one knew,

No one had a clue

That as a child

growing up adopted

Some would call me special,

some would call me wanted

The ones that raised me,

In them was a devil.

I was beaten and brusied,

Forbidden to thrive,

Alienated from my birth parents

Whom they despised.

My only hope when I turned 18

That I would marry and be free.

Though done for the wrong reasons,

It saved me for a little while.

As memories came flooding back

As they were in denial.

Molested time and time again,

They said that it was ME who commited the sin.

All my fault they claimed

Refused to have it checked out

unprotected I remained.

If they knew I was happy,

That joy theyd destroy,

Now I have my own little one,

And with Social services they would Coy

Lie after lie, they told,

Hurt after hurt I would behold.

They took pleasure in causing me pain

And to this day, in fear I still remain.

All I want is to protect my child,

All I want is her to grow and thrive

Nothing not one single thing to her I would deprive.

I know how it feels

And Ill fight tooth and toenails

To be certain

Being stoped oh so abrupt.

My child will be safe, something I never experienced

My child will be happy, or am I delerious

I know that there are statistics

Of once abused children

To go on the rampage,

But this I will vow

She will never be used as a stage.

Path Not Taken

I lay here in this beautiful pature as far as the eye can see,

the ground covered with thick rich grass,

and the fragrance of wild flowers oh so sweet .

The sun gently warming my face,

I start walking through this pasture,

and a gentle breeze fills this place.

Stopping at this delicate brook oh so clear,

I decided sit on the ground so full and thick

and rest my feet here.

The water is so cool and so relaxing,

I then decide to hop on in to wade or swim on through.

In the distance I see a sweet little bridge,

but I thought it really wasnt that far to get on across

I really didnt need any help,

I didnt need assistance.

I get half way through  not too much to go

When a violent rush threw me to and fro.

I called out, ever so sencere

For Jesus to help me,

bring me to safety,

get me out of here.

Oh dear Lord,

Again you I will never ignore!

The next thing I knew

it happened so quickly in seconds so few;

I felt was a smash against my head

All went black,

I am surly going to hell,

I dont deserve To stand

next to the mighty king

and with beautiful angles sing.

All of a sudden

a  light beamed down oh so small and true

I saw hands coming from heaven

and they  pulled me through.

While my Lord and saviour

held my hand,

He took me to the gates of the prommised land.

He said walk on through my child

and my eyes beheled

that same little pasture

that brought me peace even though the pond

brought me through hell

But no pond or bridge any where near,

nothing of the sort I see.

My God, My God

what happened to the pond and bridge I inquired,

and He said that they were a tests,

one an easy way out,

and with a rejoice, I began to shout.

You took my path instead.

All the while you I lead.

My child you HAVE obeyed me

through and through

Therefore all the riches and joys of My kingdom

I give unto you.

Ive read the Bible and some of it I knew

Then the verse came to mind

of the two paths asking what you would do.

The beautiful, easy path

made by human feet,

lead to all disastors, turmoils

and neverending screams.

The path that was lesser attractive

full stones and glass had trials all the way

stumbling block after stumbling block

day after day

Though this path

only looks so hard to take

but Going on through

you it will train as you get better

as you get stronger

with holding God’s hand

youll make it to the promised land.
